by Benji C's "Urban Thoughts".
You and me are always different
You think of yourself only
Only you can be what you think it is
Not me, Not me
I'm not the type who won't make a stand
Not those who will listen and abide
I make my statements straight
I stand by my own rights
Not me, Not me
I won't think of what people think of me
I won't let them harass my thoughts
I will stop them and oppose
Not a signal to confuse me
Not a sign to influence me
You and me are always arguing
No bad talks, only argument of sorts
I don't hate you just your silly thoughts
Why must the stubbornness overboard you
I can, can handle this
I am not a little coward
I can, can handle this
I will not back a step further
This Little Bird
Caged on a tiny makeshift basket
All willing and unwilling at the same time
For meal is free but not freedom anyway
This little bird
Stayed clumsily in this small cage
With little freedom or room to play
Whistles like mad just to catch attention
Just for some distant company's sake
It wasn't too long
Before the right person came
Or is it a small blunder
And he set this little bird away
Flew towards the sky ahead
And freedom was now a reality instead
Hi girls, this is Arthur
I'm 21 this year
Am good looking and pure
Am looking for fun and not sore
Leave me your telephone number if you are sure
So reads this 1900-Pickmeup collect call
Like a happening hype pub galore
Advertising for some fun to come
Add some pun and spice but no nuns
Inviting heavy souls to burrow amongst dead men's sorrow
It is really nothing on an evening or tomorrow to come
Star signs and horoscopes
Predicts what may come forth
Never true enough to me
Just a guide of what has passed
Never clear in words
It dictates the future in one short paragraph
School bells are ringing
And awakes me like mad
It disturbs my sleep and brings forth my scared
My childhood heeds this master
He is a strict teacher
And dresses like a drag
He threw our exercise books
And dumped them behind his hoods
He screamed like a donkey
Oh what a stupid look he had
Candlestick, I'm just like you So thin, I'm all stretch out Candlestick, I'm just alone So sad, I'm all mixed up Just light me up And I'll melt by the hour Oh, strike a match Throw me all around Burn my wit And I will cry aloud I will survive I am alive Got to make it Before my fire is all burnt out I will survive I am alive Got to make it Before my fire is all burnt out Candlestick, I'm just a liar So laugh, I'm all a clown Candlestick, I'm just like you So thin, I'm all stressed out Just light me up And I'll melt by the hour Oh, strike a match Throw me all around Burn my wit And I will cry aloud I will survive I am alive Got to make it Before my fire is all burnt out I will survive I am alive Got to make it Before my fire is all burnt out |
Special Message Candlestick is one of my favorite lyrics I have ever written. It has the strength to survival in my very stressed out life. With friends and family supporting me, just like a candlestick. The fire I mentioned in the lyric represents our life's fire. The desire to succeed, to live on and to survive. Without your support, I would never have accomplished what I have done. This song lyric is to all friends and family members, thanks. Especially to my beloved mother.
